I built this website to make it easier for players to find and share recipes from SULFUR.
While playing the game, I often found myself searching through the wiki, and the excel spreadsheet whenever I wanted to look up a recipe. The information existed, but it was not always easy to find. Well, at least not in the way I expect it to be. Having played No Man’s Sky and had to use the fan-made No Man’s Sky Recipes website to look for recipes.
The main goal of this project is simple: create something convenient where players can browse recipes, ingredients, and other useful information without having to dig through multiple sources.
Secondarily, the “something convenient” must also be accessible:
- No creating of accounts
- No download necessary
- Usable on mobile devices
- A medium that mostly comes with an operating system
That led to: website.
The website is built with Astro and hosted on GitHub Pages using a custom domain. Most of the work so far has focused on setting up the site’s structure, UI/UX, and making sure information is easy to navigate.
The project is still in active development, therefore there exists some rough edges around. There are plenty of improvements I would like to make but due to time constraints, it will not be done as soon as possible.
One thing I wanted from the beginning was for the site to feel lightweight and straightforward. It does not need flashy features. It just needs to help people find information quickly.
This project is not affiliated with the developers of SULFUR. It is simply a fan project created by a player who enjoys the game.
I’ll continue updating it as both the game and the database grow.
